Legal Secretary/Paralegal – Assisting with Legal Matters and Collective Bargaining
The County of Delaware is currently seeking a Legal Secretary/Paralegal to join their team. This position will provide clerical and research support services to the Assistant Director-Labor Counsel and Assistant Director Labor Relations. The ideal candidate will have experience in employment law and human resources, as well as excellent organizational and critical thinking skills.

Essential Duties:
- Meet with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects. - Draft documents including grievance decisions, written determinations for employee complaints, and collective bargaining agreements. - Research and analyze legal sources and provide written analysis to attorneys. - Interview witnesses and prepare summaries of their statements. - Organize and file documents into case files. - Assist attorneys with collective bargaining, grievances, and employee complaints. - Schedule hearings and meetings. - Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or related field preferred. - Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field preferred. - Paralegal certificate preferred. - Related employment law and human resources experience preferred. - Ability to handle multiple assignments with attention to detail, organization, and critical thinking. - Hands-on commitment to completing tasks.
